A 50x50 poster measures 500 × 500 mm, or 50 × 50 cm. Its aspect ratio is 1:1, so its width and height are equal. Its area is almost the same as that of A2, but the square shape calls for a different layout.

Three paper types for your 50x50 poster
200 gsm satin gives colour blocks and images a subtle satin finish. 200 gsm matt has low reflection and keeps text and geometric forms clear. 260 gsm premium satin provides a firmer, image-led result. These three poster papers are intended for indoor visual applications. Double-sided tape (4 strips) is available as an optional accessory.
Prepare your square design for print
- Final size: set up your artwork at 500 × 500 mm with a 1:1 aspect ratio.
- Safety margin: keep text and important elements at least 5 mm inside the cut line.
- File type: save the print file as a PDF where possible; other supported file types can be uploaded directly in the configurator.
- Resolution: supply raster artwork at final size with at least 300 DPI. At exactly 300 DPI, a 500 × 500 mm raster canvas is approximately 5906 × 5906 pixels.
- Colour profile: supply in CMYK for the most accurate colour reproduction.
