Which poster size suits your design?

There is no single poster size that works best everywhere. The right choice depends on viewing distance, the amount of information, and the available display space. Measure the placement first, then decide how much attention the design needs to attract from a distance.

Poster sizes at a glance

A3 · 297 × 420 mm

For close viewing, compact announcements, counters, and smaller wall spaces.

A2 · 420 × 594 mm

A versatile size for shops, windows, events, and internal communication.

A1 · 594 × 841 mm

More visibility in larger spaces and locations where the viewer stands further away.

A0 or B1

For a large visual area, longer viewing distance, and locations with strong visual competition.

Custom rectangle

When an existing window, panel, or design determines the exact proportions.

Choose by distance, content, and placement

  • Viewing distance: the further away the viewer stands, the larger the imagery and type need to be.
  • Content: one short message works better from a distance than several small text blocks.
  • Placement: measure the available area and check whether edges, frames, or window bars cover the artwork.

Choose matte or satin

Satin · 200 g

A subtle sheen and strong colour reproduction for promotional posters and general indoor use.

Matte · 200 g

Less reflection; useful for text-heavy designs, typography, or placement under direct lighting.

Premium satin · 260 g

A heavier satin option when the material should feel more substantial.

Prepare your artwork

  • Work at the chosen final size where practical and preferably supply a PDF.
  • Aim for images around 300 dpi at final size; ask us for advice if that makes the file impractically large.
  • Add bleed when colour or artwork runs to the trim edge.
  • Keep important text, logos, and QR codes comfortably inside the trim edge.
